Day 1: The Hunter's Eye & The Forest's Heart Begin your adventure with a drive from your beach hotel or Mombasa to the reserve, watching the landscape change to lush hills. Meet your private guide at the reserve gate and start your game drive, focusing on the known sable antelope territories. Keep an eye out for elephants, buffalo, and the stunning Masai giraffe. Enjoy a packed lunch at one of the reserve's spectacular viewpoints, like the 'Sheldrick Falls Viewpoint,' offering a panoramic vista of the coastal plain and the Indian Ocean in the distance. In the afternoon, embark on a guided walk to Sheldrick Falls. Hike down through the dense, humid rainforest, listening for birdcalls and looking for monkeys. Arrive at the base of the waterfall, where the cool mist and the pool at the bottom are incredibly refreshing. Take your time here, perhaps dipping your feet in the water.
