Day 1: Nairobi – Arusha – Tarangire National Park Catch an early morning flight from Nairobi Wilson Airport to Arusha, where your safari guide will welcome you and begin the scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Known for its massive elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and abundant game, Tarangire offers an incredible start to your safari. Enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch before heading to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Eileens Trees Inn or Farm of Dreams Lodge. Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Full Day Game Drive After breakfast, depart for an early morning descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Explore the rich biodiversity of the crater floor, home to the endangered black rhino, prides of lions, zebras, hippos, and more. Enjoy lunch at a scenic spot near the hippo pool. In the late afternoon, return to your lodge in Arusha for a warm meal and relaxation. Day 3: Materuni Waterfalls Morning – Pick-up from Njiro Legacy, Arusha Set off on a scenic drive toward Moshi, passing through the vast landscapes of northern Tanzania with views of Mt. Meru and, on clear days, Mt. Kilimanjaro. Late Morning – Arrive at Materuni Village At the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro, you’ll be welcomed into Materuni, a village of the Chagga people. Start with a hands-on coffee tour – harvest, roast, and brew fresh Arabica beans the traditional way, while enjoying songs, stories, and smiles from your local hosts. Midday – Hike to Materuni Waterfalls Take a guided walk through banana farms, coffee fields, and lush forest. The trail leads you to the magnificent Materuni Waterfall – a 70-meter cascade pouring into a cool natural pool. Enjoy the tranquil setting, take photos, and optionally dip your feet or take a swim. Afternoon – Traditional Chagga Lunch Back in the village, you’ll be treated to a delicious local meal made with fresh ingredients. Late Afternoon – Return Journey to Arusha Airport (ARK) Depart Materuni and begin the relaxing return drive toward Arusha.
