Day 1: Nairobi to Sirimon Gate – Hike to Old Moses Camp (3,300m) Distance: 9 km | Hiking Time: 3-4 hours | Elevation Gain: 600m Your journey starts with a scenic drive from Nairobi to the Sirimon Gate (2,650m) at the park’s entrance. After registration, you’ll gradually hike through montane forests teeming with wildlife like colobus monkeys and bushbucks. The trail ascends into heath and moorland zones, offering your first glimpse of the mountain’s dramatic landscape. The day ends at Old Moses Camp, where you’ll settle in for the night. Day 2: Old Moses Camp to Shipton’s Camp (4,200m) Distance: 14 km | Hiking Time: 6-8 hours | Elevation Gain: 900m After an early breakfast, the hike continues through scenic moorlands and expansive valleys, with magnificent views of the surrounding peaks.
