Set off on an exciting full-day trip to Funzi Island, a hidden gem off Kenya's coast. Cruise along the scenic Ramisi River, unwind on the beautiful Funzi sandbank, and enjoy a delicious seafood lunch. Discover the island’s rich history and culture as you explore the local village. Your day begins with a 7:30 AM pick-up from Diani Beach. On the way to Bodo, you’ll pass through the lush sugarcane fields and the Ramisi Sugar Factory. Once you arrive, hop into a motorized canoe and glide up the Ramisi River, where you’ll spot a variety of birds and maybe even a crocodile or two. When the tide is low, relax on the stunning Funzi sandbank, a perfect spot to swim, sunbathe, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. A shaded shelter will be set up for you to enjoy your seafood lunch, featuring crab, grilled fish, coconut rice, and options for beef, chicken, or vegetarian dishes upon request.
