Description

Day 1: Arrival & Scenic Exploration Depart Nairobi early and drive via Eldoret or Kabarnet. Stop at Itén Viewpoint to enjoy breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley. Proceed to the Kerio Valley National Reserve gate and check in with KWS rangers. Set up camp at the KWS public campsite overlooking the escarpment. Enjoy a picnic lunch while taking in panoramic views of the Kerio River below. Embark on a short nature walk along the escarpment, guided by a ranger. Relax around a campfire, watch the sunset over the valley, and enjoy dinner prepared at the campsite. Spend the night at the Kerio Valley public campsite. Day 2: Game Drive, Hiking & Cultural Experience After breakfast, head for a morning game drive to spot wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, baboons, and leopards. Visit Chebloch Gorge, known for its stunning cliffs and crocodiles basking along the Kerio River. Return to camp for lunch. In the afternoon, take a guided hike along one of the escarpment trails for birdwatching — look out for raptors, eagles, and vultures. Later, visit a nearby Marakwet or Pokot village to learn about their traditional culture, music, and crafts. Return to camp for dinner. Enjoy storytelling and stargazing around the bonfire. Spend the night at the Kerio Valley campsite. Day 3: Sunrise Viewpoint & Departure Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the valley — perfect for photography. Have breakfast at the campsite. Visit Tot Viewpoint or Rimoi Reserve nearby for final scenic exploration. Pack up camp and depart for Nairobi (or Eldoret if on a shorter trip). Have lunch en route. Arrive in the evening with memories of breathtaking landscapes and peaceful nature.
