Description

The tour starts in Nairobi, whereby you will be picked from your hotel/residence. You will enjoy a 1 hour drive to the tea farm. The tour begins by a brief history about the Riara tea farm and how it came to be. Then followed by a guided tour in the farm, here you will see how tea is picked by workers and the process of picking tea. You will then enjoy a tea tasting ceremony where you will taste a variety of tea such as black tea , green tea and orthodox tea. Then after that, the guide will explain the tea packaging process and how its branded and sold. The tour ends with a barbecue lunch. For those who might not eat meat there will be an alternative meal for you. Since this tour is half day only, it can be customised. Travelers will be given suggestions of afternoon activities that can be incorporated in this tour. For example a visit to the national museum or visit to the city market for arts, crafts and souvenir shopping. If Travelers will not be interested in any additional activities, they will be transferred back to their hotel/pickup location.
