Description

1. Giraffe Centre Your day begins with pick-up from your Nairobi accommodation at 8 AM, and your first stop is the Giraffe Centre. Home to the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife, it’s famous for the Rothschild giraffes. Get up close with these gentle giants, learn about giraffe conservation, and enjoy the education center with insights on their breeding efforts. 2. David Sheldrick Elephant Wildlife Trust Next, visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage from 11 AM to 12 PM. Watch baby elephants being fed and playing. Learn about their rescue stories and rehabilitation process, including how many were orphaned due to poaching, human-wildlife conflict, or accidents. You'll also see the older elephants interacting with their keepers and enjoying the mud. 3. Kobe Beads Factory Afterwards, head to the Kobe Beads Factory, where you’ll learn about the creation of beautiful local handicrafts. Discover the artistry behind crafting unique beads, often made by local communities, and get a chance to purchase some handmade souvenirs. 4. Karen Blixen Museum Enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant (at your own expense) before visiting the Karen Blixen Museum, the former home of the famous Danish author. Made famous by Out of Africa, the museum offers a glimpse into colonial life and the history of Kenya, all set against the stunning backdrop of Ngong Hills. At the end of the tour, you’ll be dropped back at your hotel around 3 PM.
