Description

Embark on an 8-day safari through Kenya's national parks and reserves. Witness the Great Migration in the Masai Mara, see flamingos at Lake Nakuru, and spot elephants in Amboseli National Park. Day 1: Nairobi Start your adventure with a warm welcome at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After a short transfer to your Nairobi hotel, relax and prepare for the safari ahead. Depending on your arrival time, optional activities such as visits to the Giraffe Centre or the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust can be arranged. Day 2: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve After breakfast, depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the Mara, where you can witness the rich wildlife, including the Big Five, and stunning landscapes. Day 3: Masai Mara Spend the day exploring the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. The Mara is renowned for its large population of predators, especially lions, and the annual Great Migration, which can be seen from July to October. Optional activities include a hot air balloon safari (extra cost) for a bird’s-eye view of the reserve. Day 4: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park After an early breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in the Mara before heading to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, explore the park, famous for its flamingos, rhinos, and the rare Rothschild's giraffe. Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha Depart Lake Nakuru and drive to Lake Naivasha, a beautiful freshwater lake in the Great Rift Valley. Check in at Lake Naivasha Resort and enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the lake. Optional activities include a boat ride on the lake to see hippos and various bird species or a guided nature walk. Day 6: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park After breakfast, depart for Amboseli National Park, known for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive at Amboseli Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive to explore the park's diverse wildlife and landscapes. Day 7: Amboseli Spend the day exploring Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives. The park offers incredible wildlife viewing opportunities, particularly for elephants. The backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro provides a stunning setting for photography. Optional activities include a visit to a local Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions. Day 8: Amboseli to Nairobi After a final morning game drive and breakfast, begin your journey back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight or to your Nairobi hotel, marking the end of your 8-day safari adventure.
