Day 2: Full Day Masai Mara National Reserve Wake up early for one of the most interesting days of your life. You will spend the whole day driving through different sections of the reserve in our vehicle. You will have clear views of the wildlife and landscape from the open roof vehicle. Expect to see all the big five animals including buffaloes, leopard, lions, rhino and elephants. The morning game drive offers an excellent opportunity for witnessing predators like lions and cheetahs making a kill. Don’t forget to move with your cameras so that you take beautiful photos of Africa’s famous animals. The Driver Guide will take you to the Mara river where you will see more of the big five and other animals as they come to drink along the river banks in the early afternoon heat. The Mara river is where the great animal migration occurs every year. In-between the game drives, you will have picnic lunch amidst beautiful nature and wildlife. The picnic lunch is prepared by your hotel and carried in boxes. Do not attempt to feed the animals especially baboons and monkeys while having lunch. Option visit Masai villages (Manyattas) living close to the reserve. A manayatta is a collection of traditional huts which are surrounded by thorny fences with cows in the middle. The thorny fences help protect the villagers and animals from predators like lions and leopards.
