Description

Day 1 — Nairobi → Rift Valley → Maasai Mara Depart early and descend into the Great Rift Valley, stopping at a panoramic viewpoint for photos. Along the way, your guide shares stories of Kenya’s wildlife, tribes, and dramatic geology. Arrive at your tented camp near the reserve in time for a warm lunch. After settling into your private en-suite tent, head out for your first evening game drive — the golden hour when lions stretch awake, elephants gather at waterholes, and the sky turns copper. Back at camp, enjoy dinner under the stars and meet other travelers around the fire as you prepare for a full day in the wilderness. Day 2 — Full-Day Game Drive to the Mara River Fuel up with an early breakfast before beginning your full-day safari across the Maasai Mara. Your guide navigates valleys, grasslands, and riverbanks in search of the Big Five — lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhino. You travel with a packed picnic lunch, giving you more time deep inside the reserve. At the Mara River, watch hippos soaking in the shallows and listen for crocodiles shifting between rocks. In migration months, this region teems with dramatic wildlife movement; outside migration, it remains one of Africa’s richest animal habitats. Return to camp in the evening for a hot shower and a hearty dinner. The night is quiet except for the distant call of hyenas — a reminder that you’re in one of the world’s most iconic ecosystems. Day 3 — Maasai Village Walk (Optional) + Return to Nairobi After breakfast, your group may join an optional Maasai village visit arranged by your guide. Meet local families, learn about beadwork traditions, and step inside a traditional Maasai house.* You then begin your scenic drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon with new friends, unforgettable photos, and stories of lions, elephants, and endless horizons. *Village visit is optional and can be paid for on-site.
