Description

Day 1: Nairobi to Marsabit Depart from Nairobi very early (around 4:00 AM). Drive north, passing scenic views of Mount Kenya and Mount Ololokwe. Arrive at Marsabit National Park in the afternoon for a visit to Lake Paradise. Continue toward the edge of the Chalbi Desert to your overnight lodge. Dinner and overnight at: Nomads Trail Hotel Day 2: Chalbi Desert, Kalacha Oasis, and North Horr Embark on an early morning drive across the vast Chalbi Desert lakebed. Visit Kalacha Oasis for a break. Drive to North Horr in the afternoon to experience the sand dunes and catch the desert sunset. Spend the night in North Horr or Kalacha. Dinner and overnight at: Kalacha Camp Oasis Day 3: Lake Turkana and Loiyangalani Drive to Loiyangalani on the shores of Lake Turkana, the 'Jade Sea'. Check in and have lunch. Take an afternoon excursion on Lake Turkana, possibly by boat, to visit the El Molo Island/Village for a cultural experience. Enjoy a lakeside sunset before staying overnight in Loiyangalani Camp Day 4: Loiyangalani to Nairobi Have an early breakfast. Begin the long journey back to Nairobi, traveling through scenic northern landscapes. Stop for lunch en route, such as in Isiolo or Nanyuki.
