Description

Embark on a 2-day safari from Mombasa or Diani to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary through Tsavo East National Park. Enjoy a game drive, a stay at Salt Lick Lodge, and a game drive before returning to Mombasa Day 1: Mombasa/Diani to Saltlick through Tsavo East On day 1, (0530hrs) be picked up from your beach hotel in the early morning hours and depart by road to the first gate to Tsavo East national park. Short stopover before entering the park via Bachuma gate. Embark on your first game viewing exercise in search of the red Elephants, lions nicknamed the “Man eaters of Tsavo”, Buffalo, Cheetah, Giraffe, Antelopes etc. Visit the famous Aruba dam where lots of wildlife can be seen especially during the dry season. Later proceed to a restaurant for lunch (sentrim lodge). After Lunch, leave for another game drive in this largest National Park in Kenya before your exit to arrive at Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. Enjoy an amazing game drive along the way. Upon arrival at Taita Hills Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay at Salt Lick Lodge. This lodge is especially memorable for its imaginative structure. A complex of rondavel sit on stilts over a series of water holes. These two-story towers, topped by peaked thatch roofs connected by open-air-bridges, create an African fantasy of a medieval fortress. The lodge has been built with game viewing in mind. The structure provides you will a panoramic view of the sanctuary; offering spectacular views of the landscape and wildlife. NOTE: VISITING TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK IS OPTIONAL Day 2: Saltlick to Mombasa/Diani On day 2: Enjoy an early morning breakfast and then depart for a half day game drive. In the afternoon, you will depart for Mombasa, taking part in a game drive and hot lunch at the taita hills resort and spa . Upon arrival in Mombasa, you will be dropped off at your beach hotel/residence/port.
