Description
Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel or residence in Nairobi. After a short introduction, depart the city and drive through the lush highlands toward Limuru, an area known for its fertile soil and cool climate ideal for tea farming.
Arrive at the beautiful tea estate for an immersive tea experience. Walk through the tea plantations and learn how tea leaves are hand-picked. Watch a demonstration of traditional tea harvesting and hear about the history of tea farming in Kenya.
Enjoy a sensory tea tasting, where you will sample freshly brewed tea while learning about aroma, flavor profiles, and brewing techniques. The peaceful setting with rolling green tea fields provides wonderful photography opportunities.
After the tea farm visit, continue to Kiambu County for your coffee experience. Enjoy a scenic countryside drive through farms and small villages.
Arrive at Fairview Coffee Estate, one of Kenya’s well-known coffee plantations. Walk through coffee fields and learn about the coffee plant. Discover how coffee cherries are harvested and processed, visit the washing and drying areas, and learn about roasting and grading of Kenyan coffee.
The experience ends with a coffee tasting session, where you can enjoy freshly brewed Kenyan coffee while overlooking the plantation. After the coffee experience, relax on the drive back to Nairobi.
