Description
Embark on a 3-day safari to Samburu National Reserve from Nairobi. Enjoy game drives in an open-roof vehicle, spot unique wildlife, and spend the night at a lodge.
Day 1: From Nairobi To Samburu National Reserve
Be picked up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi and depart for Samburu National Reserve. Stop en route to view Mount Kenya with its snow-capped peaks.
Arrive at the Samburu Simba Lodge just in time for check-in and lunch. Embark on your first game drive in the afternoon with a chance to spot the Grevy zebras, reticulated giraffes, gerenuks, Beisa oryx, and Somali ostrich, elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
Drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: A full day at Samburu National Reserve
Enjoy an early morning game drive before returning to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast, have a full-day game drive with packed lunch boxes.
Spend the day viewing wildlife. Possible sightings of unique wildlife species like oryx, gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, and other wild animals peculiar to this semi-arid region.
Drive along the Ewaso Nyiro River, where most of the wild animals are found. Watch different species of birds found in the reserve.
In the evening, enjoy a delightful dinner and spend another night at the lodge.
Day 3: From Samburu National Reserve to Nairobi
In the morning, have your last breakfast at your lodge, watching the views surrounding the lodge and the breathtaking views of the reserve, listening to the birds and the sound of nature. After your breakfast, you will depart for Nairobi. On the way, you can choose to visit a Maasai Village and learn about their culture, dance with them, and participate in their traditions. After, depart for Nairobi and be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
