Description
Day 1: Mombasa / Diani → Tsavo East National Park
Start your safari with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Mombasa or Diani. Drive inland as the scenery changes from the coast to open savannah. Upon entering Tsavo East National Park, begin your first game drive across one of Kenya’s largest and most iconic parks.
Tsavo East is known for its red elephants, as well as lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and diverse birdlife. Explore the park’s vast landscapes, including open plains and the Galana River, while learning about wildlife behavior and conservation from your guide.
After lunch at your lodge, continue with an afternoon game drive until sunset. Dinner and overnight inside Tsavo East.
Day 2: Tsavo East → Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary (Salt Lick Lodge)
Begin the day with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active. After breakfast, enjoy a final drive in Tsavo East before heading to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a private conservation area known for closer and more frequent wildlife sightings.
After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive in the sanctuary. Later, arrive at the famous Salt Lick Safari Lodge, built on stilts overlooking a natural waterhole.
From the lodge’s viewing decks, watch elephants, buffalo, and other wildlife gather to drink—especially during sunset and evening hours. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Taita Hills → Mombasa / Diani
Start your final day with an early morning game drive or enjoy wildlife viewing directly from the lodge. After breakfast, take a short game drive in the sanctuary before beginning your journey back to the coast.
Arrive in Mombasa or Diani in the afternoon with unforgettable memories of Kenya’s wildlife, landscapes, and unique safari experiences.
