Description
Day one begins with pickup from Nairobi and heads to Amboseli National Park, famous for its large herd of free-range elephants. Arrive at the park just in time for lunch, then get settled into your accommodation. In the afternoon set out on your first game drive of the experience, traveling across the vast topography of the park which is bursting with acacia trees, swampy marshlands, and rocky thorn bushes. At the end of an epic first day, enjoy a restful night’s sleep and soak up the magic of your safari-style lodge. Wake up on day two to a hearty breakfast served at the camp then depart for a morning game drive. Marvel at the park’s tranquil beauty at this time of morning, which allows for fabulous wildlife viewing and photography. On the drive, see families of elephants, lions, impalas, giraffes, gazelles and more. Afterwards, you have the option to visit a Maasai cultural village to experience a sacred ritual song a dance performance. At the village, gain insight into the homes and social structure of the Maasai people as well as how they live in harmony with the environment and the animals. On day three enjoy a full-day game drive at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro and admire breathtaking views of this imposing structure, which stands at 5,895 m tall and dominates the surrounding skyline.
