Start your day with a pickup from your hotel or airport and head to the Nairobi Safari Walk. This is a Kenya Wildlife Service Conservation project seeking to inform visitors about Kenya's wildlife and their habitats. The Safari Walk is a conservation facility designed to enhance visitors' appreciation of Kenya's flora and fauna. It is a showcase of Kenya's vast natural diversity. The Nairobi Safari Walk provides visitors with an experience of Kenya's three ecosystems: the savannas, forests, and wetlands. Located 7 kilometers from Nairobi city, the Nairobi Safari Walk gives visitors a clear picture of what to look forward to in Kenyan National Parks. Walk along the raised boardwalk, through the different habitats, and observe from close range the wonderful variety of wildlife in each ecosystem. The raised wood walkways provide soaring views out over the shimmering stretches of savanna in the Nairobi National Park with observation points down onto waterholes and the wildlife that frequent them. Meander through 27 acres of wilderness, the Nairobi Safari Walk offers a neatly encapsulated walking safari. See animals such as antelopes and gazelles such as bongo, gazelle (Thomson's), gnu (white-bearded), and impala. Other ungulates and mammals include buffalo (Cape) and warthog (common). Carnivores include cheetah, hyena (spotted), leopard, and lion. Later, your guide takes you to the Giraffe Centre, where you can learn about and even hand-feed endangered Rothschild giraffes before heading back to your hotel.
